Resumen

La lingüística forense es una disciplina de reciente aparición que se ocupa del estudio de la interfaz entre lengua y derecho, en general, y del lenguaje probatorio o evidencial, en particular. Como veremos, no hay consenso en lo que a la definición de la materia se refiere, aunque, en el presente trabajo, llevamos a cabo un estudio de carácter historiográfico para tratar de determinar en qué momento se comienza a estudiar el lenguaje como evidencia en investigaciones legales y policiales.
