Resumen

Questo saggio analizza il fenomeno dei giovani Neet (Not in Education, Employment or Training) attraverso l’analisi di teorie e ricerche che evidenziano le diverse rappresentazioni del processo di marginalizzazione/esclusione sotteso alla questione dell’assenza dai percorsi d’istruzione\formazione\lavoro di consistenti quote della popolazione giovanile. Il saggio mette in evidenza la multidimensionalità del fenomeno che, nello scenario internazionale, si caratterizza per una varietà di raffigurazioni, generate dall’intreccio di dimensioni storiche, sociali e istituzionali e dal moltiplicarsi delle definizioni e dei contenuti di volta in volta rappresentati. Dall’analisi emergono suggestioni nuove che aprono insolite prospettive di ricerca e suggeriscono interessanti spunti di riflessione per gli addetti ai lavori.
