Abstract

The doctor Daniel Ortega Martínez (1898-1941), born in Fuentecén (Burgos) and graduated from the Cádiz Faculty of Medicine, was recently named "Adoptive Son" by the Municipal Corporation of El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz, Andalucía). This article analyzes some aspects of his life related with this appointment that highlights that he was much more than a doctor with excellent qualifications
