Marketing and Culture: two fields learning to coexist

Abstract: The term "marketing" has long since ceased to be a novelty in the cultural field. From large museums in the capital to small provincial theaters, from folklore groups to archaeological excavation sites, it has penetrated and been repeated, embraced or repudiated by the most diverse groups and actors of cultural activities. I use the religious terms of Holy Grail and sacrilege intentionally, since little compares to the fanaticism with which one faction and another defend their position and attack the other, or the intransigence with which they usually face the issue of cultural marketing.

Keywords: cultural marketing, field, audiences, product, cultural sector.
