El ministerio de cultura y la política cultural en Francia. ¿Excepción cultural o excepción institucional?

Resumen

La política cultural francesa se considera a menudo como la expresión, planificada y racional, de un modelo de Estado centralizado enraizado en una historia singular. La historia de la política cultural francesa tiene su origen seguramente en la Revolución Francesa, cuando un abad del Tercer Estado, el abad Gregorio, tuvo la idea de confiar al estado la responsabilidad, en nombre de la Nación, de proteger y de conservar el patrimonio que hasta entonces había sido propiedad de la monar quía y de la aristocracia, abriendo así su acceso a un número mayor de personas, en lugar de promover su destrucción. El siglo XIX conocerá, en continuidad con este primer pilar de política cultural, la primera formación de una administración de las Bellas Artes, que se vinculará, casi siempre, al Ministerio del Interior.

The ministry of culture and cultural policy in France. Cultural exception or institutional exception?

Abstract: French cultural policy is often seen as the planned and rational expression of a centralized state model rooted in a singular history. The history of French cultural policy surely has its origins in the French Revolution, when an abbot of the Third Estate, Abbot Gregory, had the idea of ​​entrusting the state with the responsibility, on behalf of the Nation, of protecting and preserving the heritage which until then had been the property of the monarchy and the aristocracy, thus opening its access to a greater number of people, instead of promoting its destruction. The 19th century saw, in continuity with this first pillar of cultural policy, the first formation of a Fine Arts administration, which was almost always linked to the Ministry of the Interior.
