What can we expect from Mondiacult 2025?

Abstract

In the autumn of 2025, Barcelona will host the third edition of the MONDIACULT intergovernmental conference, under the aegis of UNESCO. This article discusses the context and format of the event and the topics to be addressed. It also suggests a results that could be expected, including a clear commitment to a specific, independent goal on culture in the Post-2030 Agenda, the strengthening of policies based on cultural rights, and the commitment to provide preferential treatment to cultural expressions from the Global South.
