Abstract

The Basque Network of Theaters SAREA, an experience of almost 30 years of operation, is a reality that brings together 69 public scenic spaces, distributed in 56 municipalities that offer a total of 26.925 seats in the Basque Autonomous Community that has 2.2000.000 inhabitants . This experience deserves a positive assessment because it is a good example of inter-institutional coordination, it has created a community among the people responsible for the management of public theaters, it has generated collaboration synergies and knowledge transfer spaces between these managers, and it has
established itself as an important agent of the performing arts sector in the Basque Country.
