El trabajo del comisario de exposiciones

Abstract

La sociedad actual, tal como la concebimos y la vivimos, forma un colectivo al que se ha acostumbrado a recibir mensajes por medio de imágenes. Hoy entendemos la obra como una red de prácticas que producen sus propias formas de relación, no sólo con un público, sino con los espacios y el contexto social en el cual estas prácticas se inscriben. El arte es una construcción del imaginario y las fantasías que pueblan ese imaginario nos ayudan a entender mejor la realidad, o al menos a verla desde una perspectiva distinta que nos aporta otras lecturas.

The job of the exhibition curator

Abstart: Today's society, as we conceive it and live it, forms a group that has become accustomed to receiving messages through images. Today we understand the work as a network of practices that produce their own forms of relationship, not only with an audience, but also with the spaces and the social context in which these practices are inscribed. Art is a construction of the imaginary and the fantasies that populate that imaginary help us to better understand reality, or at least to see it from a different perspective that other readings provide us.
