Abstract

This paper analyzes bibliographically technological sets within a possible transition of two Acheulean of Israel sites, Ubeidiya (Mode 1 to Mode 2) and Qesem (Mode 2 to Mode 3). Between both sites there is a gap of 1 Myrs, but the survival of Mode 2 exists. The particular variability of the lithic collections at the two sites have led several researchers to discuss technological transitions. The importance of  Israel is its geographical location, which not only is a crossroads between Africa and Eurasia, also as an area of a technological emergence.
