Abstract

The work develops several aspects of the research developed over several decades about prehistory in the western area of the northern peninsula of Morocco. From the exposition of the approach of the investigation, the main data of the investigation are exposed from four aspects: on the one hand the historiographical study, on the other the revision of the prehistoric materials of the Archaeological Museums of Tetuán and Tangier , as well as a review of the current situation of many of the arqueological sites up to now published, and finally the field study that has also led to the location of new occupations and the analysis of the material present in other known archeological sites. Finally, it is concluded that the deposits are generally detected by the existence of a mixture of pieces from different industries, the majority being the Ateriense and the Iberomauritano.
