LES SOURCES AQUATIQUES ET LES FONTAINES PRESENTES DANS LE POLYHISTOR DE SOLIN

Abstract
In Solinus' work entitled the Collectanea rerum memorabilium and its revised reedition, entitled the Polyhistor, there is quite a number of aquatic springs and fountains, some of which are simply mentioned and others presented as producing waters with beneficial, or harmful, or picturesque and surprising properties, and some as having a link with certain religions. These mentions and descriptions, sometimes relatively abundant, reveal the existence of an interest on the part of the readers of this work, contemporaneous with its two editions, concerning these water-supplying sites.
