Abstract
In 2009 was approved the Argentinian Audiovisual Service Law. In the same year, Faro Community Television was founded. Through the participant observation and interviews, this article addresses the implementation of community-participatory methodologies and the limitations imposed by the legal framework to the development of the Argentinian community television, specifically Faro TV. What we can be affirmed is that communication policies and regulations have a direct influence in the methods used by the community television, but not define them or prevent the participatory process from being deepened. The workshops were perfect space of excellence for the development of these experiences, allowing the formation and multiplication of audiovisual filmmakers. In this way, the participation is materialized, thanks letting the community use the equipment and take its own decisions equipment and decisions; sharing at the same time a dialogic process of production and learning.
