El debate sobre el valor de la Antigüedad: el Panteón de Agripa en la ficción literaria basada en viaje realizados a Italia durante el siglo XIX

Resumen
El Panteón de Agripa, conservado tras distintas vicisitudes, es uno de los grandes ejemplos de la arquitectura del periodo imperial de Roma. Fue uno de los principales monumentos que visitaron los viajeros, apareciendo en las primeras experiencias de viaje y en las peregrinaciones. Durante el siglo XVIII adquirió un gran protagonismo, generándose en torno al mismo una serie de ideas y percepciones que heredó en el siglo XIX y que se manifiestan en las obras literarias de los escritores que vieron in situ el Panteón. Por tanto, lo que se busca con esta investigación es estudiar la recepción y la interpretación del Panteón en la ficción escrita por viajeros del siglo XIX por Italia, atendiendo a sus lecturas de textos del siglo XVIII.
