Abstract

The VII Seminar on Industrial Landscapes of Andalusia “Thinking about industrial heritage: The challenges of the 21  century”, organised by the Andalusian Centre for Studies and the International Committee for Conser-vation Industrial Heritage-Spain (TICCIH-Spain) during the 17  and 19  of May, 2018 in the Sevillian locality of Villanueva del Río y Minas, in collaboration with the University of Seville School of Architecture,  was intended to analyse the situation of Industrial Heritage in Spain, with specific attention paid to the current reality of Andalusia. The main object being the updating of knowledge, methodologies and proposals.

The conclusions of this seminar, which met over four working sessions and in  corporated a broad representation of the disciplinary, generational, territorial, professional and gender plurality that characterises Industrial Heritage, are reproduced in this document, entitled Carta de Sevilla de Patrimonio Industrial, 2018, which the scientifc coordinators and attendees of the Seminar wish to make public in order to guide research practises and management of Industrial Heritage.
