Abstract
The project of controlled cultural visits to the interior of the Cueva de la Victoria and Galería del Higuerón involved the cleaning of the two rooms located under the entrance wells to the cave, the replacement of the lighting and a study on the conservation of the Palaeolithic and Neolithic cave paintings. The results have confirmed the archaeological and artistic interest of this site located to the east of the Bay of Málaga. New information is provided on Palaeolithic hunter-gatherer and Neolithic commu- nal tribal societies in this region.
