Abstract

The Guayana  Project  of Social Archeology (1976-1996) was aimed to study the contemporary history of  N.E Guayana, Venezuela, Bolívar State, including the Esequibo region, This period was highligted by the foundation of the city of Santo Tomé, ancien capital of the Guayana Province,  and the installation of the Missionary System of the Catalonian Cappucins whose project was inspired by the modernity ideology  of the First Industrialist Revolution of the XVIII Century.
