Abstract

This research paper introduces a preliminary wide depiction of the concept of cultural existence in Arabic poetry. Its departure point is the necessity of poetry in the Humankind history. It defines its three components as follows: talent, experience and culture. It proves the existence of culture on the Arabic poetry overtime, then explain its forms and talk about a contemporary critical concept, which is intertextuality, and explain the reasons behind choosing a different term instead. This introduction depends on examples taken from both the classical and modern Arabic poetry. This introduction is considered a theoretical basis that implifies the terms and establishes a base of applied criticism for future studies that are devoted to the cultural existence in Arabic poetry in general and in some Arab countries in particular.
