Abstract
Telling a personal story, the author focuses his discourse on the Christ Jesus of the Humiliation of Cadiz. Located in the Church of Santiago Apóstol, it belongs to the brotherhood of La Piedad, with which it was carried in procession until 1965 on Holy Tuesday. A piece linked to the workshop of Pedro Roldán, with an estimated date between 1675 and 1680, although it was restored in the 1990s by the Sevillian sculptor Ángel Rengel Gómez. With devotion in the heart of the Cadiz brotherhood, good times are predicted for the image and the brotherhood.
