Abstract

1998 como una apuesta decidida del Ayuntamiento de Jerez por el fomento y desarrollo de la cultura en todas sus vertientes, y especialmente en el estudio y difusión de la figura y la obra del insigne escritor jerezano y la llamada "Generación del 50", a la que pertenece Habría que destacar, por su importancia y repercusión a nivel nacional, nuestro Congreso anual, que cada año convoca a los mejores especialistas nacionales e internacionales sobre la materia abordada: la Poesía del 50, la Narrativa Española, Literatura y Memoria, Literatura y Cine, Literatura y Sociedad, Literatura e Historia, etc. Basta echar un vistazo a las programas culturales de instituciones públicas y privadas para percatarse de que en los últimos años han proliferado las actividades relacionadas con el hecho lector.
