Abstract

We present a preview of the rock art in Cueva del Humo, an archaeological site of major importance, that has been known so far by its extraordinary stratigraphic and cultural sequence. It is one of the most emblematic sites at Cuevas de La Araña. The presence of symbolic marks on their walls gave the prehistoric habitat a new dimension, and due to their abundance, it was clear from the start that it deserved a meticulous monographic work on this matter, that would take some time to complete. During the study, we were aware that the findings had to be notified - we did so in the article about  the  2011  campaign delivered to AAA (Ramos, J. 2015) - and that a preview of the works in progress had to be issued, that is the task we undertake today.
