About the Journal
Focus and scope
Tavira. Electronic journal of teacher training in linguistic and literary communication. is national and international in scope and is linked to the research lines of the group HUM-1041 Investigación e innovación educativa en Didáctica de la Lengua y la Literatura (ineDLL). Its mission is to provide a space for sharing educational research and innovation for initial teacher training - undergraduate and master's degrees - and professional development in the classroom, the reference points for educational action:

The journal is divided into four sections, which make up the Torre Tavira itself in the city of Cádi

In order to achieve and maintain the quality of the publication, as well as the impartiality and ethics of the articles received, these will be evaluated by blind external reviewers (peer-review), endorsed as experts in the subject and following the publication standards of the APA (American Psychological Association).
Peer review process
The review process for articles goes through several stages:
- Firstly, the editorial board checks that the article complies with the journal's subject matter and, secondly, that it complies with the journal's rules of style. If it does not, the article will be rejected. In addition, it will be analysed for plagiarism (Turnitin). If this is not the case, it will pass to the second phase.One week maximum
- At this point, it is sent to two anonymous reviewers who are specialists in the subject to be reviewed through the double-blind procedure, and for possible publication there must be two positive reports and, in the event that there is one positive and one negative, another reviewer will be selected.Approximately 30 days
- After the review, the editorial board analyses the reports and informs the authors, including the reasons and the opinion for acceptance, revision or rejection of the articles submitted.
Frequency of publication
The journal has a continuous periodicity.
Open access policy
This is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available at no charge to the user or their institution. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full text of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without seeking prior permission from the publisher or author.
Anti-plagiarism
The journal maintains an anti-plagiarism policy that ensures that all published papers are unpublished and original, and have not been previously published in another format (in whole or in part), or are involved in any evaluation process or awaiting review by another publication or journal. We use the service for all documents that have passed the editorial classification process and are susceptible to being sent for blind peer review. In this sense, the contributions are intended to be unpublished, by means of Crossref. In addition, there are tools to detect plagiarism and for this purpose, we use Turnitin.
As for the process, first the article or review is passed through Turnitin to see if there is plagiarism by similarity. If it has a percentage higher than 25%, the proposal is withdrawn and commented to the author(s), and it is possible to send the article to the author(s) to explain and clarify the situation.

The journal adheres to the Code of Conduct for editors of scientific journals established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) https://publicationethics.org/.

Names and email addresses entered in this magazine will be used solely for the purposes set out in this magazine and will not be provided to third parties or used for other purposes.

Electronic Journal of Teacher Training in Linguistic and Literary Communication uses the OAI-PMH protocol (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) which allows the transfer of digital resources, mainly of a scientific nature and open access. Digital preservation policies
Through OJS (Open Journal System), the journal has an archiving system that guarantees its digital preservation.

History of the journal
This publication has had several names throughout its history: initially it was called "Revista Tavira", then "Tavira. Revista de la Escuela Universitaria del Profesorado de E.G.B. Josefina Pascual" and, finally, "Tavira. Revista de Ciencias de la Educación".
