Abstract
«Arabic for all. The challenge of developing materials for teaching Moroccan Arabic». A linguistic approach to the Arabic language demonstrates that at least two simultaneous varieties coexist. More and more, proving proficiency in Arabic requires competence in both registers. In the Spanish context, the teaching of Arabic language should necessarily mean the teaching of Moroccan Arabic or Darija. Besides, Moroccan Arabic is spreading its use to fields that were previously ¨forbidden”. One of the current challenges is the development of materials for teaching darija. To ensure success, it is important to follow the guidelines of current research in the field of L2.
