Info
Abstract
In this new contribution, which is an addition to the paper published in AAM (17), some clarifications are presented concerning the phytonyms buḫūr as-sūdān and suˁdà, both related in the ˁUmdat aṭ-ṭabīb by Abulḫayr al-Išbīlī (12th century) to several vegetable products of medical, pharmacological, perfumistic and commercial importance, whose taxonomic identity and ethnobotanical implications had not been accurately explained until now.
