Abstract
The use of new technologies by new generations provides different learning opportunities. Therefore, this work pursues the objective of offering a proposal aimed at developing media literacy among Primary Education students and focused on the development of critical thinking for the responsible use of communication on social networks. It is about strengthening students' skills to understand the information and opinion that circulates in the media and social networks. In addition, a semi-structured interview with open questions was carried out with a second cycle Primary teacher from CEIP El Juncal, in Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz). The results justify the need to work in this line within formal education to adjust to the curricular premises and cover a need detected in today's society.
