Abstract

As part of the series of interviews that ‘El Micro de Plata’ has been carrying out for years, the Carnival of Cádiz acquires the category of a commentary by its own creators. However, the voice and the story is given by Antonio Molina, who recounts his experience the days after his participation in the group competition at the Gran Teatro Falla in 2024. But in recounting his experience, he humanises himself and represents himself as an active subject of a festival he is passionate about. Happily, we discover a person who expresses himself with great enthusiasm about his chirigota, his people from Rota or the nervousness he experiences in the Gran Teatro Falla. His human side is recognised and shared against the backdrop of the fallada of the Cathedral of Cádiz. An allusion to how the sacred and the profane mix here.
