Abstract

The story of Antonio Trinidad Verano ‘Titi’ is not just any story, we discover in it loyalty, honesty and courage. A 22 year old boy who, when the repression of Ramón de Carranza's fascism reached Cádiz, was asked to inform on his friends, who worked, like him, on the dock, but he refused to inform on them, even though he was offered a job; they were his friends and they did nothing. Adolfo was well liked in the Pópulo neighbourhood, he helped everyone and enjoyed his friends and brothers very much. He was a good football player, he played for Gimnástica and Mirandilla. He was tortured, they broke both his legs for being a footballer. The social memory always remembered him, the historical memory pays tribute to him.
