Abstract

Writing about the carnival of Cádiz requires a certain authority. It has to be done with respect and affection. And that is what is done in this self-narrative full of convictions and love for Cádiz and its carnival. A journey through Cádiz to activate memory, memories and nostalgia. It is nothing negative as it is intermingled with the lyrics of the comparsa from Cádiz in Barcelona: Los primavera (2018), Los marea (2019) and Los botas (2020). An exercise that wishes to highlight the relationship between memory and nostalgia in the place where one finds oneself. As long as memory, memories and nostalgia serve to live and feel again with the Carnival of Cádiz.
