Abstract

There are moments in which words are insufficient, useless and hollow in the task of expressing the feelings and emotions caused by the departure of a friend, that of a person who shared many hours of work and friendship with us. Because Jesús Cantero Martínez, a member of the magazine's Advisory Council since 2005, has left us. A sudden and unexpected departure, a being and no longer being in which there was not even time to say goodbye. Chus Cantero, his universal nom de guerre, was a man of the theater, a scholar of cultural life, a connoisseur of its professional fabric and, above all, a cultural manager. Not just any manager, but a pioneer, someone who discovered before the vast majority that we were building a dignified and noble profession called cultural management.
