Este artículo pretende analizar la percepción de legitimidad institucional de una muestra de menores extranjeros no acompañados en situación de calle y conocer como se agrupan las variables que la literatura académica ha indicado que forman el concepto de legitimidad. El aumento de menores extranjeros no acompañados en situación de calle, la falta de estudios que traten de conocer que componentes integran la percepción de legitimidad para este colectivo y las consecuencias que la legitimidad tiene en la conformidad hace especialmente importante el trabajo que aquí se presenta. En concreto, se analiza qué percepción de legitimidad de la Policía Local, Policía Nacional, Guardia Civil y del centro de protección tienen los menores extranjeros no acompañados que se encuentran en situación de calle en la ciudad autónoma de Ceuta; y cómo se agrupan en factores las variables que configuran el constructo de legitimidad. Los resultados muestran, a través de una metodología cuantitativa, que la percepción de legitimidad, así como la agrupación factorial, no sigue un patrón general, sino que depende de la institución analizada.
