About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Revista del Departamento de Historia Moderna, Contemporánea, de América y del Arte is an annual journal open to collaboration with the scientific community interested in the dissemination of knowledge in the areas covered by the journal's original department, i.e. Modern History, Contemporary History, History of the Americas and History of Art. To this end, Trocadero publishes contributions by researchers and historians from different schools, fields of expertise and methodologies, as well as multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary studies related to the aforementioned areas, provided that their quality has been verified through an external double-blind evaluation system, at no cost to the authors.

Recommendations on gender equality

With the aim of promoting and supporting gender equality, the Editorial Board of the journal establishes the following recommendations:

- Requests to avoid the use of name initials in authorship, so that the gender of male and female authors is perfectly expressed and visible.

- Recommends the use of inclusive language that allows the gender of reference to be known.

- Advises to clearly differentiate gender in the data and documentary sources so as to be able to know if there are different results in the research based on gender.

Digital preservation policy

Through OJS (Open Journal System), the journal has an archiving system that guarantees its digital preservation. More specifically, this journal keeps the PKP PN activated (https://docs.pkp.sfu.ca/pkp-pn/en/ ). Archived issues can be found in the LOCKSS Editorial Manifesto (https://revistas.uca.es/index.php/trocadero/gateway/lockss).
