Abstract
Tras el estallido de la guerra entre España y Estados Unidos, miles de militares españoles cayeron prisioneros de los tagalos. El Diario de Córdoba, ciudad de la que eran naturales o vecinos muchos de los soldados destinados en Filipinas, se hizo eco del maltrato recibido por los cautivos, así como de las gestiones que diversos colectivos españoles realizaron para conseguir su liberación.Keywords
