Abstract
Este trabajo se centra en un conflicto por violencia e injurias de palabras entre hombres y mujeres, en una sociedad tradicional, como la que habitaba en la ciudad San Juan de la Frontera (Argentina) en los albores del siglo XIX. Las fuentes principales consultadas-demandas civiles-desnudan aspectos vinculados a la relación de géneros, develando conflictos y mostrando la importancia que tenía la preservación del honor y la moral.Keywords
