Abstract
Este artículo se centra en el exilio republicano y más concretamente en los esfuerzos del último Jefe del Gobierno de la República -Juan Negrín- y el último Ministro de Estado -Julio Álvarez del Vayo- para promover la causa republicana en el exilio desde 1939 hasta 1952. Ambos políticos actuaron casi siempre sincronizados y, hasta 1945, se postularon como los legítimos representantes del gobierno republicano. A tal fin actuaron como grupo de presión ante las potencias aliadas y los principales organismos internacionales, además de centrar su actividad en la conquista de la opinión pública internacional.
