Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

I declare that this is an original manuscript, that has not been published and that it is not under consideration for publication in another journal.
The proposal submitted has been written in Open Office using the template provided by the journal. The guidelines provided have also been taken into consideration, both in terms of the content, length, format and layout of the paper.
Authors have taken care to maintain appropriate anonymity by removing any trace of their names, surnames or place of work from the file. Self-citations and references should always be presented explicitly in full, but authors should use them in an impersonal way so as not to reveal their authorship.
Authors have completed all the sections for metadata in the platform.
I agree that submissions that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to the author.

Author Guidelines

We recommend that you review the Journal's Policy Sections to learn more about its subject matter and scope, as well as the journal profile sections and nature of the article review process.

Authors need To Register with the journal in order to make submissions or, if they are already registered, they may simply Log in and start the 5-step process.

Revista de Educación Ambiental y Sostenibilidad (REAyS) only publishes original manuscripts on subjects related to this topic.

Papers written in Spanish or Portuguese are accepted, although, by decision of the editorial team, papers written in English may also be included.

REAyS is an open access, non-profit publication defending access to knowledge in a universal, free of charge and sustainable way. Consequently, it is a publication operating at "zero cost" with all efforts distributed among authors, editors, reviewers, technicians, the publishing institution itself, etc. Therefore, publishing in REAyS does not entail any financial cost for the authors of the submission.

Given that the editing and layout process is carried out with free software, the papers must be written in OpenOffice, and they must be formatted according to the guidelines, to ensure that they are ready for publication (if they are accepted). For this purpose, the template (template in Spanish) (template in Portuguese) provided for this purpose in Open Office format must be completed. It is important to highlight the importance of following the template provided during the editing and layout process of the paper. Please note that to be able to open this file correctly you must have this word processing software previously installed on your computer. Otherwise, if you open the document with a different word processing software, the prepared template will probably be misconfigured.

Prior to the peer review process, all submissions will undergo a preliminary assessment to check whether they meet the following requirements:

1.- The proposed paper covers a subject matter in line with the journal's profile.

2.- The proposal contains novel elements with respect to past publications, meets the minimum quality standards and does not exceed the maximum number of characters of the section to which it is addressed.

3.- Authors have completed at least the following metadata on the platform: name, surname, affiliation and email address of all authors, as well as the abstract of the article.

4.- The manuscript submitted complies with anonymity requirements. No details of the authors are disclosed.

5.- The manuscript was written using the Open Office template and conforms to the requested layout standards.

6.- The manuscript has passed the anti-plagiarism test to which it will be subjected by means of a tool designed for this purpose. Those papers showing a high degree of coincidence with other articles on the Internet will be immediately rejected.

Only those submissions that pass this preliminary assessment will proceed to the peer review phase.
