Abstract
« The wonderful element in Arabic travel books ». This article approaches a very relevant concept in Arab culture, that of the wonderful element, discussing some of its manifestations in Arabic travel books. These books welcome this phenomenon in a painstaking way, which constitutes a fertile ground for storytelling. The marvelous character of the stories guarantees interest on the part of readers and reflects one of the aspects of Arab mentality througout medieval times.
