Complementary notes to a wailing songs collection of Lower Egypt
Info
Abstract
Abstract: Wailing songs in Arabic dialects constitute an extremely interesting gender within oral literature of which samples are not often come by. This is why, upon receiving a copy of this collection by the kindness of its author, Dr. Mursi, we decided it was worthwhile to provide a dialectological edition thereof, with a Spanish translation and comments, generally of a linguistic kind, in order to facilitate the access to these texts from Alkhadimiyyah (Lower Egypt) to people intrested in Arabic dialectology, oral literature and folklore.
