Antīgān, a toponyme ibadite chez al-Idrīsī
Info
Abstract
In his short description of the western part of the island of Jerba, al-Idrīsī mentions
« Antīñān », which has been considered striking for a long time. This toponym is in fact well-known
by the Ibadite historians since the first Jerbian Ñalqa was founded at this place at the end of the 11th
century.
