The foundation of the ribāṭ of Taza

Abstract
According to the marinid chronicle, RawÜ al-Qiríās, the almohad Ribāí of Taza dates from 529/1136. But, a contemporary source, al-Istibëār, gives us a diferent chronolgy. This article presents a critical examine of medieval historiography relating to the foundation of Taza and propose a new interpretation of the version of Kitāb al -Istibëār.
