Abstract
This article shows a general panorama of the handbooks of History of Islam edited in Spain from 1991 to 1997. Particularly I talk about the seven works of Arab-Islamic History in the Middle Ages, Contemporary period, and general times. The principal question is to determine if the manuals of the 1990th mean a substantial evolution in the study of the Arab-Islamic History or they continue the lines of Investigation of the works edited in the preceding decades.
