Abstract
"Positivism and vitalism in Muḥammad Iqbāl's religious thought". Muhammad Iqbil is one of the most representative figures of the Islamic reforming attitude in the first half of the 20th century. His western intellectual background and his concerning to the Islamic hindu comunity. plenty of troubles and dilemmas, offer him the frame to handle in a work of great teoric relevance, the themes that most directly affect to the social and scientific progress in the present-day Islam. Thus, Iqbal is considered as an authentic mujtahid, and in his work, many aspects can be still treated today.
