Abstract
"Two prominent mālikíes masters in the 11th century". Study and translation of the portrait of two prominent mālikíes masters who lived in the 11th century: al-Bāŷī and Ibn 'Abd al-Barr, through the Tartīb al-madārik, and Abū l-Faḍl 'lyāḍ b. Mūsà's work, the well known qadi of Ceuta in the 12th century. Concerning the first one, a Cordovan who dedicated one's part of his life being trained in Orient and held public polemics with the famous Ibn Hazm, we can't add much more to what have been said before by the manifold works dedicated to his life and his work. And something like that happens with the second one, a highly reputed Cordovan genealogist, who, during some periods of his life, showed some inclination for the zähiries doctrines. But the most we notice is perhaps the so particular way and tone that they are treated with by the North African author.Downloads
