Abstract

"The Count of the Christians Rabī ben Teodulfo, exactor and chief of the Palatine Guard of the emir al-Ḥakam I". This work deals with the life of Rabī' ben Teodulfo, a Mozarab who was the court favourite of the emir al-Hakam I. He was responsable for the management of all economic affairs in the emirate, as well as commanding the Palatine Guard of the Christian Mamelukes which the emir had created after Cordovan fakeebs conspired against him. Despite this, the envy of the fakechs and his own haughtiness led to his death on a cross by order of the inheriting Prince.
