Abstract
The journalist and writer Félix Mejía (1778-1853) was a central figure in Spanish journalism during the Liberal Triennium (1820-1823) as founder, editor and host of journalistic companies compromised with a liberal ideology exalted: La Colmena, El Constitucional-Correo General de Madrid, La Periódico-manía, El Cajón de Sastre and El Cetro Constitucional, associated first to his countryman «afrancesado» Fernando Camborda and later Hispanic american liberals as Manuel Eduardo de Gorostiza and Francisco José Vidal Iznardi.
