Abstract
“Introduction to Religious Controversy in the Islamic West”. This paper, which should be considered as a mere historical introduction, aims to look into the reasons for the spread of religious controversy in the Islamic West, and also its most important consequences: mutual fecundation and religious plurality in al-Andalus, as well as a migration movement of both men and books from the East culture towards Islamic Spain.
