Abstract
En las ciudades de al-Andalus, la omnipresencia del poder se manifiesta en formas arquitectónicas y en hechos y gestos del sulṭān que indican el dominio que ejerce sobre la ciudad. Sin embargo, la omnipresencia del poder político no debe ocultar la existencia, en la ciudad, de otras fuerzas que obran al margen de las autoridades; emanan de los ciudadanos y toman la forma de intervenciones de éstos en la gestión de su ciudad.
