Abstract
The manuscript our article is about. Īḍāḥ al-marāmī bi-šarḥ Hidāyat al-rāmī was written in 17 century by the Syrian al-Salțī. As its title indicates it is a comment to Hidayat al rami, book about hunting with crossbow drew up by Aḥmad b. Ibrāhīm Sibt Ḥirz Allāh. In the Īḍāḥ two topics can be distin guished: a foreword dedicated to reveal the reader the terms used in the book; and then ten chapters destined to show rules: and laws that must be respected by the ruma bunduq. Our article just consists of the issue of the arabic text of the fore word. It is preceded by a small study about the author and its work.
