Abstract
"Problems in mediaeval translations from Greek to Arabic in botany". The author analy zes the difficulties of transliteration found by the translators from Greek into Arabic in the Early Middle Ages, and the various solutions they imagined. At the same time, he offers a detailed reper tory of phonological equivalences and adaptations between both languages, using the arabic transla tion of Dioscorides' work.
