Abstract

The lack of motivation for learning on the part of adolescents represents a challenge for education, in general, and for educational research, in particular. Thus, this work presents a didactic proposal based on educational innovation and active methodologies. It pursues a double purpose: on the one hand, to try to solve the pressing problem of the generalized lack of motivation of secondary school students; and, on the other hand, enhance and contextualize the learning of grammatical knowledge. A proposal is presented that is based on the communicative approach through the didactics of the text, through which grammatical knowledge is linked to a specific textual typology. In addition, game-based learning is also addressed. The results show that the use of active methodologies in the Spanish Language and Literature classroom increases the motivation of students, especially in topics that are initially unattractive, such as grammatical concepts.
