Abstract
Tras definir el concepto de «exótico» en el siglo XVIII y sus distintas aplicaciones en la literatura, el estudio se centra en el exotismo que produce lo que se halla fuera del ámbito europeo, en contraste con la imagen de la naturaleza familiar, del paisaje que rodea al escritor. En concreto se analizan estos conceptos en obras de Diderot, Rousseau, Javellanos, Domingo Badia ... , entre otros escritores franceses y españoles.Keywords
