About the Journal
Costas is a periodical scientific publication specialized in works on Integrated Management of Coastal and Marine Zones, in the Ibero-American scope.
It is directed and edited by the Red Iberoamericana de Manejo Costero Integrado (Ibero-American Integrated Coastal Management Network - IBERMAR), supported by the Asociación Universitaria Iberoamericana de Posgrado (Ibero-American Postgraduate University Association - AUIP) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and under the editorial support of the University of Cadiz.
Since 2019, Costas has been published twice a year, open access, under the Creative Commons Reconocimiento-NoComercial-SinObraDerivada 4.0. It can be copied, used, disseminated, transmitted and publicly exhibited, as long as the authorship, the URL, and the journal are cited, and they are not used for commercial purposes.

COSTAS Journal: Integrated Coastal Management in Iberoamerica is a refereed journal published in Spanish, Portuguese and/or English twice a year and is dedicated to original articles and technical works focused on the study of all aspects related to integrated coastal management at the national regional, national and local levels.
It is a periodical publication edited by the Red Iberoamericana de Manejo Costero Integrado (IBERMAR - Ibero-American Integrated Coastal Management Network), in collaboration with the Asociación Universitaria Iberoamericana de Posgrado (AUIP - Ibero-American Postgraduate University Association) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), through its Regional Office from Montevideo.
